Egypt will hold the 4th edition of the “Differently-Abled” celebration for persons with special needs on Wednesday.
The organizer of the event, Amel Mabday noted that the ceremony promotes the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and raises awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is scheduled to attend the event.
The ceremony comes in conjunction with the celebrations of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which the UN has been celebrating since 1992 to drum up support for this segment of society to ensure their rights and raise public awareness on the importance of merging them into political, economic, and cultural life.
