Telecommunications companies in Egypt will begin implementing the price increase for home bundles from Friday, January 5, with the rate of increase ranging between 10 and 15%, with free browsing of educational and government service websites.
Telecommunications companies attributed the reasons for increasing the prices of home packages to the increase in operating costs, due to the rise in dollar prices and the costs of operating stations.
The new prices for the bundles were as follows:
- 140 GB: from 120 pounds to 160 pounds, an increase of 40 pounds.
- 200 GB: from 170 pounds to 225 pounds, an increase of 55 pounds.
- 250 GB: from 210 pounds to 280 pounds, an increase of 70 pounds.
- 400 GB: from 340 pounds to 440 pounds, an increase of 100 pounds.
- 600 GB: from 500 pounds to 650 pounds, an increase of 150 pounds.
