In a step intended to boost yacht tourism in Egypt's water, the government has decided to remove any obstacles and barriers that hinder the promotion of yacht tourism.

This step comes in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to draw up a strategic plan to develop yacht tourism including providing infrastructure to manufacture boats and logistics, according to domestic reports.

In response to this issue, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Enani held twice-weekly Cabinet meetings to follow up on the efforts that have been taken to uplift water tourism.

In this regard, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities has reviewed the efforts exerted to promote yacht tourism in Egypt.

“In full cooperation with many different entities and institutions, the government will officially issue standard yacht's licenses for visiting the country's ports and islands, as well as permits for practicing different water activities and sports,” the Ministry said.

Also in this regard, the government will assist foreign yacht owners, and their local agents to receive licenses to cross into Egyptian waters in support of Sisi’s plan to reinforce tourism through facilitating entry to the country for marine activity purposes, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
