Egypt's Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee (FAPC) will hold a meeting before January 7 to review and approve the new prices that will be implemented for a period of 3 months, starting from January until the end of March 2021.

An official source at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources told a local newspaper that the upcoming meeting will be held during the first week of the new year.

He added that the new fuel prices will be announced before the Coptic celebrations and holidays set for January 7.

The General Division of the Petroleum Products at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce expected that the prices will remain unchanged till the next meeting.

It is worth mentioning that, during its last meeting in October, FAPC decided to keep fuel prices in the local market unchanged till December.

The committee said the per-liter prices of 80-octane, 92-octane, and 95-octane gasoline will be kept at LE 6.25, LE 7.50, and LE 8.50, respectively.

Diesel fuel prices also remained untouched at LE 6.75 per liter.
