Egypt, Syria Discuss Ways to Enhance Cooperation in Electricity Field

Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy met with Sinjar Tohme, Syrian Minister of Electricity on the sidelines of the Executive Office meeting of the 15th Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity hosted by Egypt to discuss ways to support and enhance cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the League of Arab States and the Ministerial Council for Electricity.

Esmat stressed that there is cooperation between the electricity sector and all Arab countries represented in providing technical support, exchanging expertise and joint work in the fields of renewable energy, explaining that Egyptian companies have extensive experience in fields related to electricity and operate in many countries within the framework of joint Arab work.

On his part, Tohme praised the Arab work and cooperation in the fields of electricity and renewable energy and the effective role of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, calling for supporting the electricity network in Syria in light of opening the field for Arab companies from the sector to work in various electricity fields
