The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement expressing its endorsement of the efforts made by the 6+6 committee, a joint initiative of Libya's House of Representatives and the High Council of State, in formulating laws for the forthcoming Libyan elections. The Ministry also acknowledged Morocco's role in graciously accommodating these committee discussions.

In the statement, Egypt urged both the Libyan House of Representatives and the High Council of State to keep fulfilling their mandates as per the Skhirat Agreement. The goal is to complete all essential frameworks to ensure synchronized presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya as soon as possible, thereby addressing the aspirations of the Libyan populace.

The Egyptian Ministry called upon all parties involved in the Libyan conflict to support these efforts, aligning with the principle of Libya's self-determination. The statement recognized the legitimacy of Libyan institutions working towards their shared goal of restoring stability to Libya and meeting the hopes of its people.

In a noteworthy disclosure, Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, announced that Libya’s 6+6 Joint Committee has agreed upon the legislative terms for the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, according to the statement.

At a press conference held in Morocco, Bourita indicated that the final agreement is set to be signed shortly. He praised the Libyan delegation, stating that they have demonstrated their ability to put Libya's interests first and reach meaningful agreements when given the opportunity.

The 6+6 Committee, inaugurated in March with equal representation from the Libyan Parliament and the High Council of State, was responsible for drafting the electoral laws.

The Egyptian Ministry highlighted Bourita's comments regarding the importance of this step in the Libyan crisis resolution, as the dialogue facilitated key consensuses about the organization of elections.

Furthermore, the Ministry underscored Morocco's stance, as voiced by Bourita, that the solution in Libya must be Libyan-made and achieved through holding elections.

The statement also noted Bourita's warning that "the agreement text, regardless of its content, remains merely a document in the absence of political will." He expressed concern that without such will, this agreement could suffer the fate of previous unimplemented agreements.
