Egypt and Sudan continue ‘Guardian of the South-2’ joint military exercise.
The military exercise is taking place, over several days, at Border Guard Training Fields Complex. The drills witnesses the participation of members of the Egyptian Border Guards and their Sudanese counterparts.
The Sudanese side was received by Major-General Staff Imad Abdel Qader Yamani, Commander of the Border Guard Forces, who delivered a speech during which he conveyed the greetings of Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces to the participating forces.
He welcomed the Sudanese delegation in Egypt, wishing to achieve the maximum possible benefit from the training, which represents an addition to the Egyptian and Sudanese border guards, with the advanced expertise possessed by the participating elements of both sides in the field of border security.
It is worth mentioing that, “Guardian of the South-2” comes within the framework of the joint training plan of the armed forces with friendly countries to exchange experiences, enand hance aspects of military cooperation.
