Egypt Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Baghdad

Egypt condemned Monday the missile attack that targeted yesterday evening the Green Zone in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Ahmed Hafez, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed Cairo's condemnation of all terrorist acts that could destabilize Iraq, and target the headquarters of diplomatic missions and civilians. 

He called on all parties to uphold the Iraqi national interest over any other considerations, in order to make the relentless efforts made by Iraq successful so as to protect its security and stability. 

“Egypt reaffirms fully support to brotherly Iraq in the measures it takes to eliminate terrorism and its associates and to preserve its national security,” Hafez noted.
