Egypt has strongly condemned and denounced the Israeli Minister of National Security's storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli police, describing it as an act of provocation and unacceptable incitement of Muslims around the world on the third day of Eid al-Fitr.

Egypt affirms that, in addition to the illegality and illegitimacy of any Israeli measures related to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is a purely Muslim place of worship, these extremist Israeli measures constitute a flagrant violation of international law and a major source of instability in the region.

Egypt warned against the continuation of this highly provocative and reckless approach, and stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status of the religious sanctities in Jerusalem.

Moreover, Egypt warned against any attempts that  undermine these sacred sites, emphasizing that the continued failure to halt Israeli violations and provocations, and the failure of the international community to take deterrent measures to put an end to these reckless actions that flout international law, could create the basis for a widespread wave of anger that could lead to an explosion in the Middle East, amid serious repercussions for international peace and security.
