Amid a critical and defining moment for the Middle East, the Arab Republic of Egypt reaffirms its unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause.

Egypt asserts that the only viable path to addressing the escalating threats to regional and global peace—stemming from Israeli occupation and the recent aggression on Gaza—is for the international community to adopt a just and balanced approach that upholds the rights of all peoples in the region without discrimination.

This includes the Palestinian people, who continue to face unprecedented violations of their fundamental rights, including their right to live in peace on their homeland.

Egypt calls on the global community—both regional and international stakeholders—to unite behind a comprehensive political vision for resolving the Palestinian issue.

This vision must be grounded in rectifying the historic injustices that the Palestinian people have endured and continue to endure, while restoring their inalienable rights, which are non-negotiable under international law.

In this context, Egypt remains resolute in its opposition to any compromise on Palestinian rights, including the right to self-determination, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Moreover, Egypt upholds the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland, in accordance with international humanitarian principles, UN resolutions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Egypt underscores that disregarding international legitimacy in addressing regional crises jeopardizes the very foundations of peace, which generations have fought to establish and preserve.

The country reiterates its commitment to working closely with regional and international partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

This includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in full compliance with international law.
