According to a statement by KHNP President Chung Jae-hoon, the chairman of the Korean company indicated that he was impressed by the high level of the Egyptian construction market and ongoing mega projects and emphasized his commitment to localisation, adding that through this agreement, KHNP plans to support the training of local nuclear power technicians and experts in Egypt with no nuclear power plant construction experience.
In a meeting on Tuesday, Jae-hoon and Lotfy discussed joint cooperation in launching a training, overhaul, and maintenance center for the national nuclear power plant project to train Egyptian engineers on the latest nuclear power technology at the hand of Korean experts, according to the reports.
