Honorable presence and active participation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the US-African Summit in Washington, It started with welcoming the President at the airport.

Yesterday I returned home from Washington; I feel proud to have participated with the media delegation and followed up President Sisi's meetings with US president and African leaders and presidents.

In all the places that the president visited, the members of the Egyptian community were waiting for him to welcome him, and they felt hope from the simple words with which he answered their questions: "Egypt is fine.. We are on our way..know the news from its credible sources." Few words of confidence and hope.

The president also met  Republican and Democratic members of the US Congress and discussed with them ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, he also met  Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, then he visited the Pentagon headquarters and met the US Secretary of Defense.

My happiness and pride increased last Thursday, when President Sisi met US President Joe Biden and African heads of state, in addition to his meeting with youth leaders, civil society leaders , political actors, innovators, and those concerned with the climate.

Egypt was present in all the president's meetings and statements, and Africa and its issues were addressed. The president focused on partnership, mutual respect, and the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of African countries, stressing the need for cooperation to confront the food security crisis, in light of the current global economic crisis, He also stressed the importance of Facilitating the integration of African countries into the global economy, in order to achieve economic growth, and technology transfer and push forward foreign investment.

The most important, from my point of view, was the president’s speech in the food security session about the rates of hunger in Africa and the sincere attempts to find a solution to it during the Climate Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh, then his question: How can a nation that does not produce its own food reap the fruits of economic development, or secure its stability to build the future?. the president presented a solution that there is a close link between food and water security, and Egypt considers this link as national security, which necessitates the availability of political will to formulate legal frameworks to control the course of cooperation among the countries that share water resources, in a way that contributes to achieving development and eliminating the specter of hunger that threatens us!
