Egypt is set to kick off its International Cooperation Forum ICF Today for a better tomorrow and to identify the parameters of sustainable recovery.
The inaugural meeting of the forum, titled 'Engaging for Impact”, will be held on 8-9 December with the attendance of key African and world leaders, international and regional organizations, and others in 13 key sessions.
The session is set to include discussions about the significance of harnessing opportunities and deepening partnerships in order to achieve sustainable development, which opens the door for a strengthened dialogue between countries, financing institutions, and development partners.
It's expected that the two days’ forum will underscore and highlight the significance of multilateralism, with emphasis on Egypt’s ownership for (building back better) in transition and developing economies.
Other sessions include a focus on a regional cooperation framework for combating the recent economic depression and tackling the economic and social impact of the COVID-19 crisis.
It's worth mentioning that Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat revealed early in her last briefing that it’s Egypt’s first time to launch an international cooperation and development financing agenda, adding that the country supports such international forums that bring practitioners together.
