Egypt, Senegal Affirm Strategic Partnership at AU-EU Summit

​On the sidelines of his participation in the 7th African Union-European Union Summit held in the Angolan capital, Luanda, on behalf of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met today, Monday, with Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal.

The meeting was attended by Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriate Affairs.

​At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to his Senegalese counterpart. 

He praised the momentum in bilateral relations, confirming that Egypt views Senegal as a strategic partner in West Africa, and expressed the pride of the Egyptian government and people in the historical and fraternal relations with Senegal.

​For his part, the President of Senegal affirmed that the relationship between the two countries represents a model for fruitful cooperation among African nations, supported by historical, cultural, and political ties.

Moreover, Faye stressed the importance of continuing to enhance joint action with the aim of advancing bilateral relations to broader horizons, fulfilling the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples and contributing to driving African integration.

​The Senegalese President also conveyed his sincere greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
