Egypt Sends Medical Aid to Libya

On Wednesday, Egypt sent a new shipment of medical supplies to Libya upon the directives of President Abdel-Fatah El-Sisi.

On this basis, the shipment, which was donated by Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population, arrived in Sebha International Airport where it was received by Libyan officials.

According to an official statement by the Egyptian presidency,  it explained that the aid is an affirmation of the historical and national ties between the two African countries Egypt and Libya as well as the deep bonds of brotherhood and friendship that unite the two brotherly peoples.

Moreover, the presidency added in its official statement that the shipment contains tons of medical supplies, including COVID-19 preventive gear and the medicine used in treatment protocols.

On the other hand, Libyan authorities expressed their gratitude to Egypt for the shipment, noting that it was significant in supporting the health sector which is battling COVID-19.
