Egypt has dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip while continuing to receive wounded Palestinians for treatment, as part of ongoing relief efforts coordinated through the Rafah Crossing.

State-affiliated media correspondents reported that the crossing has witnessed sustained Egyptian efforts to facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. The 184th convoy under the “Zad al-Ezza” initiative has been launched, carrying approximately 5,000 tonnes of food supplies, medical aid, fuel and clothing. The shipments are being routed through the Kerem Shalom Crossing.

According to reports, Egypt has also continued to receive injured Palestinians, with the 38th batch arriving for treatment in Egyptian hospitals. Medical teams and ambulances have been deployed extensively to ensure the swift transfer of patients upon arrival.

The injured are initially triaged near the border before being transported to hospitals in North Sinai, including facilities such as Al-Arish General Hospital, while critical cases are transferred to hospitals in Cairo and cities along the Suez Canal.

Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities have facilitated the return of recovered Palestinian to Gaza after completing their treatment, reflecting a two-way medical support effort.

The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has played a central role in coordinating aid deliveries and receiving the wounded, working alongside health authorities and emergency services.

It's worth mentioning that the continued flow of humanitarian assistance comes amid acute shortages of food and medical supplies in Gaza, where infrastructure and essential services have been heavily affected by ongoing conditions on the ground.
