Egypt has continued its humanitarian support for African nations by sending medical and food aid to the Republic of Madagascar to assist victims affected by Cyclone Gizani, which caused extensive damage and heavy losses across several Malagasy cities.

The shipment, organized by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership in Development, includes a variety of medical supplies and essential food items designed to support ongoing relief efforts in the disaster-stricken areas.

Upon arrival, officials from Madagascar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Office for Risk and Disaster Management received the shipment, along with representatives from the Egyptian Embassy in Madagascar. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malagasy officials expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s support during this current crisis.

This initiative reflects Egypt’s ongoing commitment to assisting fellow African nations and highlights Cairo’s dedication to strengthening cooperation across the continent in addressing challenges posed by crises and natural disasters.

In recent years, Egypt has been increasingly expanding its humanitarian and development role in Africa through aid programs, technical cooperation, and emergency assistance initiatives aimed at reinforcing regional solidarity and promoting sustainable development.
