Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development has dispatched medical and food aid to Madagascar to support communities affected by Cyclone Gezani, which caused widespread destruction and severe damage across several cities.
According to Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, the humanitarian shipment includes medical supplies and essential food assistance aimed at supporting emergency relief operations in the disaster-hit areas.
The aid was officially received by Madagascar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Office for Risk and Disaster Management upon arrival, in the presence of representatives from the Egyptian embassy in Madagascar.
Madagascan officials expressed appreciation for Egypt’s support during the difficult humanitarian situation facing the country following the cyclone’s impact.
