Egypt Sends Emergency Food Aid to Sudan

Under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide emergency aid to the people affected by the floods in the Republic of Sudan, a  military plane, carrying food and humanitarian aid, landed in Khartoum International Airport.

The Sudanese officials expressed appreciation to the Egyptian leadership and people for supporting the Sudanese people in their current crisis.

Earlier, South Sudan’s president, Silva Kiir, received Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aaty, and his accompanying delegation, during their official visit to South Sudan.

Kiir expressed his sincere greetings and appreciation to President Sisi, and the Egyptian people for supporting South Sudan during the crises.

On his part, the Egyptian Minister of Irrigation conveyed the greetings of President Sisi to the leadership, government and people of South Sudan.

He also discussed joint cooperation files between the two countries in the field of water resources and irrigation.
