Egypt has dispatched dozens of trucks loaded with thousands of tons of humanitarian and relief supplies to the Gaza Strip, as part of continued efforts to support Palestinians amid worsening humanitarian conditions.

According to information from the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side, the aid was sent in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent and forms part of the sixth convoy under the “Zad Al-Ezza” initiative. The convoy includes large quantities of food items, relief materials, medicines, and medical supplies, in addition to petroleum products needed to operate remaining hospitals and bakeries inside Gaza.

The trucks departed early in the morning from the forecourt of the Rafah land crossing before heading to the Al-Awja crossing, where they underwent inspection and review procedures. They were then transferred to the Kerem Shalom crossing for unloading and delivery into Gaza.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been preparing and dispatching these convoys since July 27, reflecting Egypt’s ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people as the enclave continues to face severe shortages and deteriorating living conditions.
