Egypt Sees New Hike in Gasoline, Diesel Prices Starting Friday

A government source said that there is a movement in fuel prices and implementation will be within hours, according to "Extra News" channel.

The Automatic Pricing Committee for Petroleum Products is expected to decide to increase the prices of gasoline and diesel by EGP 2 per liter from the morning of Friday, April 11.

New Gasoline Prices Expected:

Gasoline 95 from 17 to 19 pounds per liter

Gasoline 92 from 15.25 to 17.25 pounds per liter

Gasoline 80 from 13.75 to 15.75 pounds per liter

Diesel from 13.5 to 15.5 pounds per liter

While the price of the gas cylinder (25 Kg) is expected to move from 150 pounds to 200 pounds.

However, the government decided to stall prices of diesel suppliers for electricity, food industries and gas-run vehicles.
