Ibrahim Imbaby, head of the Tobacco Division of the Federation of Egyptian Industries said that Mansour International Cigarette Distribution Company and the JP International Tobacco Company have raised some cigarette prices by about 12%, starting, Thursday, in the markets.
According to Imbaby's statements, the price of Target and Time Select cigarettes has become EGP 38.75 after the increase.
While the price of Gold Coast cigarettes, which are produced by the JP, has reached EGP 42, according to the head of the division.
The Eastern Company had also raised cigarette prices in Egypt after the 12% increase two days ago, to absorb part of the increase in manufacturing costs, such as the change in the dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound and the rise in the prices of tobacco and non-tobacco raw materials in general, and the increase in shipping costs due to the current logistical conditions, according to a statement by the company.
Philip Morris Egypt announced the new price list for all its heated tobacco products "HEETS" and "TEREA", and traditional cigarettes from the brands "Merit, Marlboro and L&M" of all types.
Philip Morris Egypt assures all smokers and adult nicotine users that the new prices are announced transparently on the product packages through the QR code link that has been placed on traditional cigarette packages and heated tobacco rolls since 2022.

Merit pack of all types is 95 pounds.
Marlboro pack of all types is 89 pounds.
Marlboro Crafted pack of all types is 74 pounds.
L&M pack of all types is 69 pounds per pack.
"HEETS Selections" of all types is 69 pounds per pack.
"HEETS Dimensions" of all types is 69 pounds per pack.
"TEREA" of all types is 69 pounds per pack.
"TEREA Capsules" of all types is 74 pounds per pack.
Target and Time Select cigarettes has become EGP 38.75.
Gold Coast cigarettes has reached EGP 42.
The company calls on retailers and distributors to adhere to the announced prices.
