Egypt Sees Cold Weather on Thursday, 18C in Cairo

Experts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predict cold weather and witness a decrease in temperatures on Thursday.

The experts predict that cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northwestern coast.

They also expect that moderate weather will prevail in the northeastern coasts and Northern Upper Egypt, and warm climate to prevail in the South Sinai and Southern Upper Egypt.

Meteorologists added that wind activity will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, the eastern coasts, central Sinai, the canal cities, and the south of the country.

Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA), said that that the country will be witnessing medium rains will prevail in areas of El Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, and Alexandria, at intermittent periods.

Furthermore, light rain will hit El Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, Dakahlia, and central Sinai, meanwhile, light to moderate rains will prevail in Damietta, Arish, Rafah, and Port Said, at intermittent periods.

Meteorologists also predict that extremely cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and South Sinai, as well as the Northern and Southern Upper Egypt.

Meanwhile, the climate will be cold in Northern Coasts.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 18C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 17C in Marsa Matruh, 20C in Sohag, 21C in Qena, and 24C in Aswan.

On Wednesday, the experts warned that a wave of bad weather has begun and will continue to January 19.
