On Monday, Egypt and Saudi Arabia concluded naval exercise “Morjan 17” which was held at King Faisal Naval Base in the Western Fleet in Jeddah on the Red Sea, according to the Saudi Ministry of Defence.
The drills included theoretical lectures and training conferences as well as tactical exercises by naval special forces using various small arms and surface-to-surface artillery.
The drills also included surface-to-air targeting, the Egyptian army said in its statement.
It also witnessed a number of combat hypotheses, such as dealing with hostile targets using live ammunition, storming buildings, reconnaissance of beaches and islands, maneuvers for naval vessels in the Red Sea, and several lectures on various maritime and strategic fields.
