Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, met today, Saturday, with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum to enhance the close consultation and coordination between the two brotherly nations.

During the meeting, the two ministers emphasized the depth of bilateral relations and the historical ties connecting the two countries, expressing their commitment to building on the current momentum and enhancing cooperation across various sectors to achieve development and prosperity for both nations.

Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing Egypt’s categorical rejection and condemnation of attacks targeting Saudi territories and underscoring that any threat to the sovereignty of the Kingdom or the Gulf states constitutes a direct threat to Egyptian and Arab national security.

The discussion also involved an exchange of views regarding the trajectory of U.S.-Iranian negotiations and the latest regional developments, while also reviewing the ongoing coordination within the Quadrilateral Mechanism comprising Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan aimed at bolstering regional security and stability.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the negative economic repercussions of the war, specifically regarding international maritime navigation, global supply chains, food and energy security, and oil price stability.

In conclusion, both ministers pledged to continue high-level coordination and consultation in the coming period and to work together to support bilateral relations in a way that fulfills the aspirations of their peoples and ensures regional peace and stability.
