Egypt, Russia plan for agreement on outer space

Russia's Space Agency (Roscosmos) announced holding a meeting between Egypt's ambassador to Russia, Ihab Nasr, and the Director-General of the Russian Space Agency, Dmitry Rogozin.

In a statement published on its official website, the agency said that the two parties held talks that addressed the current situation and prospects for joint Russian-Egyptian cooperation in the field of peaceful use of outer space.

The statement added that the two sides stressed during the talks that the two countries look forward to cooperation in this field.

They also stressed the importance and priority of preparing for a governmental agreement on outer space between Cairo and Moscow, indicating that the project is currently being studied by Egyptian experts.

According to the statement, Ambassador Ihab Nasr pointed out to the previously announced plans to participate in Russian scientific programs.
