A security source said to Al Qahira News Channel that once the site which launched the missile into Taba is identified, all options will available to deal with it.

The source added that Egypt reserves the right to respond at the appropriate time.

The Israeli army said it was aware of a security incident near its Red Sea border with Egypt early Friday, following reports of an explosion in the city of Taba.

The Israeli army added, "We are aware that a security incident occurred, but it occurred outside our borders," Reuters reported.

Earlier, a rocket fell over Egypt's Taba as a result of the ongoing escalation between Palestinians and Israelis in the occupied territories, resulting in the injury of 5 people and damage to a residential building.

The sources indicated to the news channel that the incident is subject to serious investigation to uncover the circumstances of what happened.

Earlier, Cairo News Channel reported on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation army aims to reach places of detainees in Gaza, adding that there is a possible ground raid in the northern Gaza Strip in the coming hours, after it claimed that there was a limited ground incursion into the Gaza Strip during the night.

Earlier, one of the Egyptian border watchtowers was accidentally hit by fragments of a shell from an Israeli tank.

Other sources said that an unknown source missile fell on the Egyptian city of Taba on the ambulance building and the administrative housing of Taba Hospital, causing damage to the building in which 6 people were injuried.
