Egypt Reports 938 New Coronavirus Cases, 63 Deaths

On Wednesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 938 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 359,516.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20,537 nationwide after the ministry announced 63 deaths.

About 548 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 298,084.

On November 14, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the start of clinical trials for CoviVacc, the country’s first coronavirus vaccine.

The authority confirmed that the vaccine is a fruitful outcome of cooperation between the National Research Center and Vaccine Valley Company.
