On Tuesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 857 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 314,116.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 17,765 nationwide after the ministry announced 39 deaths.
About 419 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 264,764.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
