Egyptian media reported on Friday that Egyptian equipment had entered the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing point, with the aim of repairing the road damaged by the Israeli bombing, in preparation for the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.
Cairo News Channel (CNC) published footage of Egyptian equipment repairing the road at the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Egyptian presidency announced that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi agreed with his American counterpart, Joe Biden, during a phone call, to bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing in a sustainable manner.
It is noteworthy that Egypt, during the past few days, called on those wishing to provide relief aid to the Gaza Strip to send it to Al-Arish International Airport.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Egypt calls on “all countries and regional and international organizations wishing to provide humanitarian and relief aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to deliver that aid to Al-Arish International Airport.”
