Egypt Registers 491 Coronavirus Cases, 14 Deaths

On Monday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 491 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 293,448.

 

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,885 nationwide after the ministry announced 14 deaths.

About 399 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 247,125.

Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
