Transport Minister Kamel Al-Wazir announced on Tuesday that Egypt received a new batch of Russian trains, within the framework of the largest railway deal signed between Cairo, and Moscow.
The batch has been shipped from Russia by sea to the Alexandria port.
Moreover, the new batch consists of 28 normal vehicles with dynamic ventilation.
It is worth mentioning that, the deal, signed between the Egyptian Railways Authority and Russian-Hungarian Transmashholding company, is the largest in the history of Egypt’s railways, with a value of €1.16 billion ($1.8 billion).
