On Sunday, the Ministry of Health announced receiving two million, and four thousand doses of developed Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, after the arrival of four patches at Cairo International Airport through a week.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that those patches were gifted from eight countries: France, Sweden, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Latvia.
Abdel Ghaffar said that the developed COVID-19 Pfizer will be distributed as a booster shot.
He expressed that the developed vaccine is effective against the latest mutations of Omicron, and other strains, therefore, the ministry decided to use it as a booster shot.
The official added that the latest received Pfizer patch will be distributed to all vaccination centers nationwide.
Therefore, Abdel Ghaffar urged all citizens to receive COVID-19 vaccines, adding that the ministry developed all COVID-19 treatment protocols in accordance with the developments of the virus.
