Egypt received 24 injured Palestinians and their families on Monday from the besieged Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing, according to domestic reports.
The injured Palestinians were transported to many hospitals in Egyptian cities, including Arish, Sheikh Zuweid, Ismailia, Port Said, Suez, and Cairo, to receive the necessary treatment.
They are suffering several injuries including fractures and wounds in the head, eye, and body caused by shrapnel.
Earlier, Egypt’s Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that 39 percent of the cases coming from the Gaza Strip are children who were wounded in the Israeli strikes.
