In a statement, the ministry emphasized Egypt’s endorsement of Hussein al-Sheikh’s appointment as Deputy President of Palestine, viewing it as part of the Palestinian Authority's ongoing efforts to pursue internal reforms and strengthen its domestic front.
The statement also highlighted Egypt’s continued efforts to mediate a renewed ceasefire in Gaza and to ensure the delivery of vital humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
