Egypt Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Cooperation with Senegal

Egypt's ambassador to Dakar, Khaled Aref, emphasized Cairo's dedication to bolstering bilateral cooperation with Senegal, particularly in defense and counter-terrorism efforts.

During a meeting on Monday with Senegalese Defense Minister Birame Diop, Aref highlighted Egypt’s readiness to share its expertise in the military field.

Minister Diop, in turn, commended the significant advancements achieved by the Egyptian Armed Forces and expressed a strong interest in deepening collaboration.

He noted the Senegalese government's commitment to enhancing sovereignty in defense, military industries, agriculture, and health.

Minister Diop also lauded the Egyptian Armed Forces' National Service Projects Organization for its contributions to supporting Egypt’s economy. He voiced his desire to replicate this successful model in Senegal to promote national development.

Furthermore, the minister underscored his belief in the crucial role of military institutions in driving development and contributing to large-scale national projects.
