Egypt to Open 6th Edition of “Food Africa 2021” Exhibition Next Dec.

From 12 – 14 December Cairo is going to witness the opening of the sixth edition of the Egyptian food and trade exhibition Food Africa 2021 under the slogan “savor growth opportunities”. The exhibition will be held at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo sponsored by both the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and in cooperation with The Food Export Council, The Agricultural Export Council, Chamber of Food Industries, and The Egyptian Commercial Service.

Over the past 5 years, Food Africa has achieved unparalleled success in attracting many investors and exhibitors from all over the world in addition to international buyers, which contributed to increasing the local and international companies opportunities’ in significantly developing the agricultural and food industries sectors in Egypt and Africa and greatly improving the Egyptian exports. That in turn led to the consolidation of the exhibition as the main gateway for all the companies interested in entering the agro-food market in Africa.

On her part, “Dalia kabee”l the Vice President of Konzept -the organizer of the exhibition- expressed great pleasure that Egypt is hosting one of the most important trade exhibitions at the international level, especially in the light of the challenges facing the activity of international exhibitions during the recent period resulting from the repercussions of the Corona pandemic.

This consequently reflects the success of Egypt’s political management in dealing with this crisis professionally noting that all the precautionary measures were taken into account during the planning of the exhibition’s activities, including expanding the corridors, providing sterilization booths, and continuous ventilation in all the halls.

Four concurrent events are also taking place in the light of the Food Africa 2021 exhibition and these are “pacprocess Middle East Africa” for processing and packaging, “Sea Food Africa”, “Fresh Africa”, “Dates Africa”, and the conference that includes various seminars and workshops on Food Safety, export to Africa, and the technology in the food and packaging industries.

Kabeel stated that ‘What makes this edition of the Food Africa exhibition special is its unique concurrent events like Dates Africa which is held for the second time and includes all the most important producers of dates of all kinds, which puts Egypt in a distinguished position locally and internationally, especially since Egypt is the world’s first producer of dates.

This event is taking place in cooperation with Dates Africa’s strategic partner and that is Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation which sponsors the dates sector in the producing Arab Countries in addition to the Food and Agro-Industries Technology Center.

“There is also the Fresh Africa event which includes the Egyptian agricultural crop companies interested in exporting especially to Africa. And importers from Arab and African Countries. Provided that bilateral business meetings will be conducted to discuss the possibility of cooperation between them.” She added.

It is worth noting that this year’s exhibition will host more than 400 exhibiting major companies operating in the food industries, crops, packaging, and food manufacturing sectors.

The exhibition is also witnessing exceptional international participation this year with the presence of about 22 inpidual or international booths of foreign countries; the most important of which are: Saudi Arabia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Poland, Lebanon, Pakistan, Belarus, and Russia which is participating for the first time with a huge booth that includes about 30 Russian companies.
