Egypt Reaches Climax of COVID-19 4th Wave: Official

The Health Committee at the Egyptian House of Representatives member Eirene Said said that the climax of the fourth wave of the COVID-19 has started, RT reported on Friday.

Said highlighted that the weather conditions that Egypt faces nowadays is helping in rising COVID-19 infections.

Therefore, she urged all residents to follow the protective medical measures such as wearing masks, applying social distancing, and having good and healthy diet and full of vitamins.

The official also added that all people should have vaccines as it is the only available weapon against the virus. In addition, vaccines can reduce the risks of COVID-19- related severe symptoms, and death risk.

It is worthy to mention that Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 803 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 366634.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 20919 nationwide after the ministry announced 42 deaths.

About 591 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 304747.

The country’s fourth wave of the virus is in full force, with daily cases seeing a tenfold increase than what was recorded at the end of July.
