The Automatic Fuel Pricing Committee (FAPC) in Egypt has increased the price of gasoline and diesel in the local market.
In a statement, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that the price for a liter of 80 octane gasoline rose from EGP 7.50 to EGP 8; 92 octane gasoline increased from EGP 8.75 to EGP 9.25; and 95 octane gasoline increased from EGP 9.75 to EGP 10.75.
The diesel fuel price had also increased from 6.75 to EGP 7.25 per liter.
The new prices were applicable starting from 09:00 AM (Cairo time) on Wednesday.
The FAPC is a petroleum ministry body established in 2019 and tasked with reviewing and adjusting local fuel prices quarterly in line with changes in prices in the global market.
