Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye have agreed on the importance of breaking the current deadlock in negotiations aimed at advancing the Gaza ceasefire process and implementing the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Conference, as well as President Donald Trump's peace plan, according to sources cited by Al Qahera News.

The sources said the three countries are maintaining close coordination and continuous consultations regarding the ongoing negotiations focused on finalizing the arrangements for the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

The latest diplomatic efforts come amid intensified mediation aimed at preserving the truce, expanding humanitarian access, and creating conditions for a broader political settlement to the conflict.

On June 7, Cairo hosted a high-level meeting that brought together representatives from Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye, the key mediators in the Gaza ceasefire process, alongside representatives of several Palestinian factions.

The meeting was attended by Hassan Rashad, Head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin.

Discussions focused on accelerating negotiations related to the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and addressing outstanding issues that have slowed progress in recent weeks.

According to reports, participants reviewed mechanisms to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire, facilitate humanitarian assistance, support reconstruction efforts, and advance broader political arrangements linked to the peace process.

The sources indicated that Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye share a common position on the need to overcome obstacles in the negotiations and move toward implementing all commitments outlined in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Conference and the broader framework currently under discussion.

Participants at the Cairo meeting also expressed appreciation for Egypt’s diplomatic efforts under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as well as the intensive coordination among regional and international stakeholders working to sustain the ceasefire and advance peace initiatives.

The mediators stressed the importance of maintaining momentum in the negotiations to secure agreements on the next stage of the ceasefire process, which is expected to address political, humanitarian and security arrangements in Gaza.

The continued involvement of Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye reflects growing regional efforts to support stability in Gaza and prevent a return to large-scale hostilities, while working toward a comprehensive framework that could pave the way for a lasting settlement.
