The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that Egypt to see light to medium rain across Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta and the eastern part of the country on Wednesday, warning of unstable weather conditions nationwide.
The EMA also expected active wind is predicted in areas of South Sinai intermittently.
According to the EMA, thunderclouds have multiplied over the eastern coast, canal cities, North Sinai, the eastern Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, accompanied by moderate rainfall since Tuesday afternoon.
Egypt’s Ministry of Irrigation said that it is ready to deal with the heavy rain.
The EMA did not issue a prediction for when the wave of unstable weather will end, but said it would issue statements throughout the day.
