Egypt Possible Line-up for Senegal Encounter

Egypt's Salah and Senegal's Sadio Mane go head-to-head in a play-off to reach Qatar, just three days after their first leg.

All football fans will be on time, waiting for this anticipated clash, which is set to be repeated once again after three days as both teams are looking for a place in the final.

The match will be in Dakar for the 19:00 CLT.

The first encounter was in the group stage of the 1986 AFCON as Senegal clinched a 1-0 win

In 1987, both teams clashed once again as the Pharaohs won 1-0. Ten years later, they played two games in the AFCON qualifiers as they held a goalless draw in the first leg, while the second leg was in Cairo, where the Pharaohs won 2-0.

In 2000, Egypt defeated Senegal in AFCON with an unanswered goal.

The six encounter was in the 2002 AFCON, in which Teranga Lions clinched their second win in the group stage.

Then, Egypt won two friendlies in 2003 (1-0), and 2005 (4-2).

Both teams met once again in the 2006 AFCON in Cairo, where Egypt defeated Senegal 2-1.

Both clashed in 2014 AFCON qualifiers, in which Senegal defeated Egypt 2-0, before repeating their win once again in the second with a 1-0 win.

The last encounter between both teams was in February in 2021 AFCON, held in Cameroon, where Senegal defeated Egypt on penalties to claim their first title.
