Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reaffirmed the government's commitment to closely monitoring the implementation of the Ras El Hekma development project, stressing the strategic importance of the flagship investment for the development of the country's northwestern Mediterranean coast.

During a high-level meeting on Sunday, Madbouly reviewed the latest progress of the project alongside senior government officials, including the ministers of transport and housing, representatives of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and other officials overseeing implementation. The Governor of Matrouh and the province's security director also participated via video conference.

The prime minister said the government remains committed to ensuring the project proceeds in line with its established implementation schedule, describing Ras El Hekma as one of Egypt's most significant development initiatives for the North Coast.

According to Cabinet spokesman Mohamed El Homsany, the meeting reviewed the pace of compensation payments to eligible residents within the project's development zone, as well as progress on perimeter fencing for land parcels that have already been handed over to the master developer.

Officials also assessed the implementation status of the project's various phases, with particular focus on the first phase, including hospitality, commercial, and entertainment developments designed to create a world-class tourism destination.

The Ras El Hekma project is expected to become one of Egypt's largest integrated coastal developments, forming a cornerstone of the government's strategy to attract foreign investment, expand high-end tourism infrastructure, and accelerate economic development along the country's northwestern coastline.
