Egyptian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said that the government had received a request from the “El Sewedy Electric Group” to establish a new industrial zone in the “New October” city, which is planned to be implemented through the industrial developer system, near the dry port that is being implemented in the Sixth of October City.
Madbouly affirmed that the government welcomes and supports the industrial sector.
He said that all that matters to Egypt in this context is to accelerate the development of the proposed industrial zone, with regard to the speed of connecting facilities, and building and operating factories, especially since Egypt has previous experience with some industrial developers that took a lot of time. The process of developing industrial lands has been going on for many years, and this would hinder development in the region in general.”
The Prime Minister stressed that “the government will not earn a single pound from the price of these industrial lands.
