Egypt's Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevine Al-Qabbaj, said that they have partnered with the Palestinian Red Crescent to establish and equip a camp for displaced individuals in Khan Younis, located in the Gaza Strip.
During a meeting with the UK Foreign Secretary's Special Representative for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Mark Bryson-Richardson, the minister emphasized that 53,000 pregnant Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip lack basic healthcare services and that 130 children have been orphaned.
Minister Qabbaj also stated that Egypt has established six logistic zones and nine warehouses to handle international aid that arrives at Arish International Airport, which is then delivered to the Gaza Strip by the Egyptian Red Crescent.
