Egypt Participates in New Space Africa Conference

Egypt's Higher Education Minister’s Adviser for African Affairs and Space Technology participated in the “NewSpace Africa” conference.

He represented the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ayman Ashour, at the event which was co-organised by the African Union (AU) and Angola state. 

The conference discussed space issues across the African continent, with the theme being “The Role of Space in Closing Africa’s Poverty Gap”.

Abu El Majd delivered the inaugural speech of the conference, highlighting Egypt's efforts in the local and international space domain, including hosting the African Space Agency.

The NewSpace Africa conference aimed to build and maintain new relationships with stakeholders in the African space and satellite industry. It focused on creating new partnerships and business collaborations to advance the economics of the industry. 

The conference provided a platform for leaders in government, industry, academia, and investors to build new business connections and relationships to advance the industry.
