This summit is the largest global gathering of digital content creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs in the fields of digital media and social media platforms.
The "Billion Summit" highlights the power of technology and its impact on various sectors, including tourism.
Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, emphasized the authority's commitment to leveraging modern technology in promoting tourism in Egypt.
He pointed out that utilizing advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in one of the ministry's promotional campaigns resulted in remarkable outcomes, demonstrating the effectiveness of these tools in tourism marketing.
He also noted the authority's collaboration with influencers and bloggers from various tourism markets who have large followings on social media to promote Egypt's tourist and archaeological attractions.
On his part, Suzan Mostafa, General Manager of Tourism Promotion at the authority, highlighted the role of digital content creators in promoting Egypt's tourist destinations. She explained how influencers share photos and videos of their visits to Egypt's attractions on their personal accounts, encouraging their followers to visit these locations.
During the summit, the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion participated in a panel discussion on the pivotal role of tourism in utilizing new digital media through social media influencers and content creators.
Osama Attia, from the Central Department of Tourism Offices at the authority, presented successful examples of collaboration between the authority and local and international content creators.
He also discussed the authority's strategies and best practices in this context.
The panel discussion addressed key aspects of cooperation between governmental tourism authorities and content creators, the stages of collaboration, creators' expectations, and mutual challenges.
The session included a diverse group of participants, including representatives from the tourism authorities of Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE, as well as content creators from the USA, India, the UAE, and Egypt. This diversity enriched the exchange of ideas and perspectives on the evolving role of digital media in the tourism industry.
It is worth noting that the "Billion Summit" is a leading global platform that brings together visionaries, innovators, and industry leaders to discuss and explore the transformative power of technology and its impact on various sectors, including tourism, business, and society.
This year's summit hosted over 15,000 participants, more than 5,000 content creators, and over 350 speakers in related fields, organized and supported by the Media Office of the Government of the UAE.
