Egypt is taking part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, which officially opened in the Swiss city on Monday with one of the largest international turnouts in recent years.
According to Al-Qahera News, delegations from more than 50 countries are attending the forum, underscoring its growing strategic importance at a time when economic challenges are increasingly intertwined with political and security issues.
The official opening is scheduled for later today, beginning with a keynote address by WEF Founder Klaus Schwab, followed by the presentation of the Crystal Award. The forum will also unveil its annual Global Risks Report, which outlines major economic, political, and security challenges facing the world.
Artificial intelligence tops the forum’s agenda this year, alongside intensive diplomatic meetings between participating delegations.
The forum is attended by prominent global leaders, including Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with expectations of U.S. presidential participation, adding significant political weight to discussions on pressing international issues, including developments related to Greenland.
