Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty received a phone call on Monday from Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, as part of ongoing consultations between the two countries on regional developments and efforts to promote peace and stability.

During the conversation, the two ministers exchanged views on the latest developments across the region, with particular focus on the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Both ministers stressed the importance of maintaining the negotiation process between Washington and Tehran, expressing hope that continued dialogue would lead to mutually acceptable understandings that support de-escalation efforts and strengthen regional security and stability.

Abdelatty and Dar also underlined the need to prioritise political and diplomatic solutions to address the current crisis, warning that any further escalation could widen the conflict and increase its consequences for countries and populations across the region.

The two sides agreed to continue close coordination and consultations in the coming period, reaffirming their commitment to supporting efforts aimed at bridging differences between the United States and Iran in a manner that addresses the concerns of all parties and contributes to ending the conflict.
