Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss regional developments following the US-Iran memorandum of understanding.

Abdelatty welcomed the agreement reached between Washington and Tehran, expressing appreciation for the efforts made by Pakistan and other regional actors in facilitating the deal. He emphasized the importance of this step in easing regional tensions and preventing further escalation.

In turn, the Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed his country’s gratitude for Egypt’s role, in coordination with regional partners, in supporting the negotiation process and bridging gaps between the parties. This collaboration helped create the conditions necessary for reaching the understanding.

Both ministers underscored the need for continued coordination and consultations in the coming period to ensure the successful implementation of the memorandum and to achieve a final, sustainable agreement. This agreement should address the interests and concerns of all parties involved, strengthen diplomatic solutions, and contribute to regional peace and stability.
